Chef Polly is super knowledgeable and brought some amazing recopies to the class. She was so easy to talk to and guided us throughout the whole day and even prepared a few special side dishes along the way as well. We very much enjoyed our time with her making delicious food, and the cooking space is so beautiful as well with great scenery. We can't wait to try another one of her classes in the near future (and bring our friends!)

Chef Polly greeted us warmly with roasted barley tea, instantly making us feel at home in her kitchen. She patiently answered our many questions while preparing a delicious bindae-tteok appetizer and guiding us step by step through each cooking process with helpful tips and encouragement. Thoughtfully checking in beforehand about dietary restrictions, she also showed me how to make a gluten-free hoettuck—something I had always wanted to try—ensuring I could fully enjoy the class. Beyond cooking, she generously shared her favorite Korean businesses and insider tips. The conversation went well beyond Korean food making the experience feel like hanging out with old friends over a wonderful meal. No matter your skill level or dietary needs, Chef Polly’s energy, warmth, and genuine hospitality make this class truly special!

It was so much fun to cook with Chef Polly and her classes were spot on in terms of teaching me the basics of making the dishes presented in the menu as well as the tips and tricks to streamline and enhance. All the dishes came out super tasty and I feel like my cooking skills definitely have been upgraded!

My friends and I booked Chef Polly’s Korean Food Essentials and it was phenomenal! She was so sweet and funny! She created such a warm and inviting environment!! My friends are experienced with cooking but not professionally trained so it was really cool to see her put on her professional chef hat and teach all of us some really handy tricks! We would definitely book a class with her again :)

Chef Polly was amazing! Not only was the food delicious but she was so warm, inviting, and informative. This is my third time doing a Cozymeal cooking class and my evening with Chef Polly was by far my favorite. Chef Polly came to my home to cook a Korean Feast, for my birthday! It truly was a feast! She tailored the menu for our dietary needs. She was a total pro and pleasure to have at our home. The food was fresh delicious and impressive, and we loved every bit of it. It was a wonderful experience.

We cooked a delicious meal with Chef Polly and learned a lot about Korean ingredients and flavors. Yummy bulgogi, jap chae, spicy tofu and pork soup, sauteed mushrooms, and various kimchee and pickled vegetables. A great experience!

We cooked a variety of Korean dishes include beef bulgogi, japchae & kimchi jigae soup. Everything was delicious. Additionally, Chef Polly is very professional, kind and loving. I enjoyed working with her and would love to do so again. David & Alecia

Everything was incredibly clean and well organized, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Her recipes were delicious, and she also shared the background behind each dish. Chef Polly was fantastic throughout the evening. She was prepared, thoughtful, instructive and had a great cooking style. She knew the recipes intimately well and could explain ingredient choice/origin. She also made the instruction fun, with clear thought and creativity injected into each dish. This was the best cooking class experience I have ever had. Chef Polly was able to make the entire meal gluten free for me. She was incredibly insightful and warm. My partner and I had the best time at her street food class. Go to her class and you won’t regret it! It was the best bday gift.

Chef Polly was very welcoming, knowledgable, and encouraging. Her home and water front view were beautiful. We learned how to make 4 separate dishes and got to eat along the way. We never felt intimidated and also enjoyed learning the history of the meals.

Chef Polly was a great host and chef! Her home was welcoming and warm (she had a very thoughtful playlist and tea waiting). We learned everything from the basics (i.e. good hygiene and knife skills) to how to make more complex Korean dishes including kimchi pancake, steamed buns (dumplings), and dalgona (the cookies in Squid Game). Cooking a meal with Chef Polly was a pure delight. Over the holidays family and friends joined Polly in a Korean Essentials class in her home. As many members were serious foodies, Polly took this into account and added some complex dishes such as brisket (still thinking about how savory ans yummy it was). Learned some great techniques and shared a warm and delicious dinner with friends and family. Polly is easygoing and kind but obviously knows her stuff!

I had the most incredible experience at the Running for a Better Oakland (RBO) kickoff Fundraiser Dinner, and we owed much of it to the exceptional dinner Polly provided! The food was delicious, and the presentation was Michelin-star quality... Chef Polly's performance was flawless.

Preparing Korean recipes with Chef Polly was a joyful and delicious experience. Korean food is among my favorite cuisines, and Chef Polly taught us the basics of some popular Korean dishes. The class was participatory, and Polly clearly explained the recipes and process of the food preparation. I highly recommend the course and hope that Chef Polly will teach a class on cooking Korean barbecue.

I worked with Chef Polly to cater an elegant dinner party for my brother's birthday. Polly was a talented and creative partner throughout the process. Not only was the food sublime... her consultation on everything from menus, to how to set up, to how to set the table, to hiring the assistants, cleaning everything up at the end, made the experience truly enjoyable for me and all my guests.

I was amazed at the number and variety of Korean recipes we were able to prepare in just 2 hours, and the resulting meal was delicious -- lots of stuff we'll cook regularly at home in the future.
