For the past eight years, Chef Charles has donned the executive chef title in Washington D.C. He is also an adjunct professor of culinary arts at Montgomery College and volunteers for a nonprofit teaching culinary demonstrations for at-risk kids.

The whole experience was incredible! From the moment we walked into his home, he made us feel welcome and as if we were old friends. We did the Thai class resulting in the best Thai food that I've found in the DC area. Chef Charles a top-notch educator, conversationalist, and chef, and I highly recommend him to anyone interested in an experience like this. I'll definitely be coming back for his other courses.

Chef Charles is THE BEST! I wish I could give 10 stars. He is incredibly gracious and made the whole experience so fun and relaxing! Not to mention the food was amazing and we learned so much. Also the kitchen is beautiful and so organized. You can tell Chef Charles is passionate about cooking and teaching others to cook. We are very grateful for our time with Chef Charles!

Going into this experience I had no idea what to expect. Iâ€™ve never used cozy meal before. I have to say this is one of the best dining experiences Iâ€™ve had and Iâ€™ve lived around the DC area for 20 years. Chef Charles home is beautifully finished and very cozy and welcoming. The chef himself is intelligent, entertaining and charming. He instantly made everybody feel welcome in his home. He prepared spring rolls, pad Thai and mango sticky rice. There was abundant opportunity to jump into the cooking process at any point. He took his time and thoroughly explained what he was doing at each step and allowed diners to taste how the flavors changed as he added ingredients. There were people of various experience levels at the dinner and all thoroughly enjoyed it. I will definitely book again with chef Charles. I should also mention that the food was plentiful. Iâ€™m a very big guy with a large appetite and I was unable to finish my meal! So you will not leave hungry!

Chef Charles is an AMAZING Chef! We thoroughly enjoyed how he explained each ingredient and the importance of blending sauces to balance the taste. We were prepared to actively participate in the cooking, however watching Chef Charles passionately cook for us was an exhilarating experience. You can appreciate when a person is passionate about cooking when you notice how many spices they have and excitement of using fresh ingredients to put together a delicious meal. We will definitely come back to Chef Charles for another lovely experience and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a pleasurable and extremely tasty meal.

Our experience with Chef Charles exceeded all expectations. The thai cooking class was a gift for my husband-we like to cook together but beyond being able to follow recipes well enough we don't have much experience with or knowledge of this style of cooking and these flavor profiles. Chef was so organized, knowledgeable, skilled and clean-not to mention warm and pleasant!-and we couldn't have enjoyed the evening more. Amazing food! He let us take the lead on how much preparation we wanted to do versus how much we wanted to watch done, and he offered great stories, anecdotes, and explanation about the ingredients and the techniques. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!
