What You’ll Do

Reenact the famous and world-changing 1976 event dueling California and French wines.

Join Sommelier Ferdinando for a lively, fun wine tasting experience reenacting the 1976 вЂњJudgment of Paris,вЂќ an event which pinned the best wines from France against the best wines from California in a blind tasting. This time you will be the judge! All participants will be blind tasting two wines made from the same grape, in the same style, side by side. Sommelier Ferdinando will show you the similarities and differences of the wines from France and from California as you learn all about winemaking in the two regions.

Choose four wines guided by the provided list of regions and tasting notes to purchase for your class.

Guests must be at least 21 years old to attend this experience.

California Chardonnay vs. French White Burgundy

California Cabernet Sauvignon vs. French Red Bordeaux

California Pinot Noir vs. French Red Burgundy

California Sauvignon Blanc vs. French Sancerre

The sommelier will provide glassware for the event.

Guests are responsible for purchasing the wines directly, based on the sommelier's recommendations.

The sommelier can coordinate with guests and help call in the wines to a local shop for purchase and pickup there. Alternatively, guests can select their own wines based on the information provided in the menu and wine tasting description. (The sommelier will communicate with the guest upon booking to confirm which option is preferred).

Groups of six or more will be charged the standard per-person rate. Groups with fewer than six guests are welcome to sign up, but must pay a minimum charge of $270 (per-person rate x 6).
