What You’ll Do

Learn all about Italian wines from a certified Italian sommelier.

In this interactive, approachable wine tasting class, you'll get a taste of the Italian countryside as you explore four of the country's most important wines with Ferdinando, a certified Italian sommelier. You'll sip on wine from Tuscany, Sicily and more as you learn simple, effective techniques for tasting from Sommelier Ferdinando. He will also share interesting facts about Italian culture and cuisine to round out your tasting experience.

Choose four wines guided by the provided list of regions and tasting notes to purchase for your class.

Guests must be at least 21 years old to attend this experience.

The sommelier will provide glassware for the event.

Guests are responsible for purchasing the wines directly, based on the sommelier's recommendations.

The sommelier can coordinate with guests and help call in the wines to a local shop for purchase and pickup there. Alternatively, guests can select their own wines based on the information provided in the menu and wine tasting description. (The sommelier will communicate with the guest upon booking to confirm which option is preferred).

Groups of six or more will be charged the standard per-person rate. Groups with fewer than six guests are welcome to sign up, but must pay a minimum charge of $270 (per-person rate x 6).

And Ferdy, you were simply wonderful. As someone on our team put it, "Ferdy was great, he really convinced me I was on vacation for a minute.... and now I need to 1) make whatever that delicious caper, eggplant pasta he was talking about was. 2) plan a trip to Sicily."
