Team Building Activity - Handmade Noodles and Dumplings

What You’ll Do

Gather your crew and learn how to create traditional dumplings and noodle dishes as a team.

Teams are built in the kitchen in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Gilley. It's your chance to collaborate on a menu everyone will enjoy in a collaborative culinary lesson. Your team will discover techniques for creating a classic menu of Asian favorites.

First, work together to make scallion pancakes with chili-vinegar oil, and pan fry chicken and shiitake mushroom dumplings with cabbage and ginger. For the entrée, prepare traditional dandan noodles served with braised pork, Taiwanese cabbage and a savory sesame sauce.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

In the past, he has operated an extension of his family's restaurant at a weekly food fest in Brooklyn, and is currently serving up delectable dishes as a sous chef in New York. Chef Gilley is famous for his cold sesame noodles, which have been heralded by Gourmet Magazine and the New York Times.

Learned a lot and he brought A LOT of food!!! The best part was learning so many inside trade secrets. The class is VERY fast! Total of 2 hours - so a lot to make in 2 hours of time!!! He came very well prepared and it was fun to hear personal stories!
