Cooking Class - French Foundations 101

What You'll Do

Learn how to create the most classic dishes that form the foundations of French cookery.

In this hands-on class, Chef William guides you as you work your way through his five-course French menu touching on a variety of techniques and flavors.

Begin by wrangling live lobsters for a classic lobster soup. Next, you will move onto an intermezzo course to make the sorbet. You will learn how to properly marinate and sear duck breast and learn the art of deglazing the pan with wine, sugar, orange juice, and herbs. A green salad will cleanse the palette and make way for the chocolate mousse finale.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef William was great! My wife and I are both pretty good cooks, and we still both learned a lot! Chef William was very warm, welcoming, and great at explaining what we were doing, why, and how it all worked and would come together. The final result was magnificent. 10/10 experience.

Chef William was amazing! Enjoyed him coming to our home for a Father’s Day gift for my dad. It was such a treat for our Father - Daughter bonding time. As soon as he enter our home, he was like family. He was so personable, with a great personality. My favorite part was his improvised recommendation. Some ingredients we don’t always have handy so the many suggestions were great for future recipes and techniques. Most definitely recommend Chef William with the French 101class. Thank you Chef!
