Cooking Class - The Art of Making Maki

What You’ll Do

Roll with Chef Diane as you learn how to master the art of making maki.

Chef Diane believes that everyone can (and should) make beautiful and delicious maki rolls at home. In this hands-on class, she shows you how fun it can be to engage with endless combinations and make your own maki.

Sushi's glamor is often stolen by the allure of fresh fish, but the rice is actually the most important part of maki. You'll learn how to make and season the all-important rice as the foundation to wrap in roasted seaweed sheets of nori around an assortment of different fillings and garnishes.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I really enjoyed learning how to make homemade pasta with Chef Diane. She is very knowledgable and the pasta turned out delicious. I now feel confident that I can make pasta on my own whenever I want!
