Build confidence decorating bakery-style cakes from start to finish.
Learn the fundamentals of cake decorating in this hands-on cooking class in NYC. You’ll work with vanilla genoise cake, vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and raspberry curd to build, fill and frost a layered cake from start to finish. Chef Emily or a resident chef will guide you through leveling, stacking and achieving smooth buttercream finishes before adding sugared flowers for decoration. This cooking class in NYC is perfect for anyone who wants practical cake decorating skills they can use for birthdays and special occasions.
Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.
This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.
