Cooking Class - Provencal French Recipes

Learn how to cook a luscious, French-inspired dishes with Chef Cathy.

In this class, Chef Cathy will guide you through the preparation of a spring feast with a hint of Provencal flair. Chef Cathy is a European trained chef who specializes in a range of European cuisines and her fresh, seasonal menu is brimming with the lush flavors of spring.

You will start by making your own honey apple vinaigrette, then gently tossing tender spring greens and vegetables with dressing, roasted almonds, and a salty kick of feta cheese. The main course is herb-crusted lamb rack Provençal, where succulent rack of lamb is coated in a rich tapestry of herbs and Provencal inspired flavors. A traditional ratatouille is the perfect accompaniment and uses ripe tomato and eggplant, stewed to a luscious texture and topped with fresh herbs. This menu ends with a toothsome, golden polenta cake served with fresh raspberries in yogurt cream.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I attended Chef Cathy's German cooking class and had a really good time. Being from Germany myself, I can say that I have high standards when it comes to German cuisine. Cathy has (from what I remember) over 30 years of experience as a Chef in German and Swiss cuisine and you notice it. The dishes were delicious and simple to make at home. Also, Cathy has a lot of knowledge of German/Swiss culture and her place is like a nice German/Swiss souvenir shop with a lot of items from that part of Europe. I can certainly recommend her for both social and team building cooking classes in Los Angeles.
