Cooking Class - Classic French Desserts for 2

What You’ll Do

From chocolate to souffles and tartes, take a tour of Classic French Desserts!

In this class, Chef Anja will teach you and your significant other to prepare three classic French Desserts to impress your friends an family.

Learn to make a decadent chocolate fondant cake with raspberry reduction and a vanilla pear souffle with homemade crust and fresh pairs. Lastly, you will create a tarte tatin -- an upside down apple pie with caramel fondant. You will gain tips along the way about how to whip airy egg whites, prepare a smooth and silky ganache, and how to create whimsical decorations with sugar.

Chef Anja welcomes guests to accompany the class with wine, and is happy to provide recommendations for pairings.

Chef Anja has been cooking since she was just thirteen years old, fueling a passion which blossomed into a career that took her from her hometown of Tahoe City to learning to be a professional chef in France. While there, she went to cooking school in Montpellier and apprenticed at Michelin Star restaurants in Lyon. Since then, she has launched a successful personal catering business, cooking dynamic dishes from a French-Californian perspective with a healthy, flavorful emphasis in mind.
