WHAT YOU’LL DO

Create the perfect dumplings in this dim sum masterclass.

In this interactive cooking class, you will learn the art of crafting flawless dumplings. From shaping and folding to intricate pleating and steaming. An expert chef will guide you through creating dough for wrappers and crafting tasty fillings for an array of savory and sweet delights. Once you've mastered these basic techniques, you'll be ready to dazzle guests at your very own dim sum gathering.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

Cristina was there as a helper, but did not run our class. Chef Joe did and he was great! I gave 3 stars because I felt the communication between Cozymeal and Sur La Table could have been much better. We weren't even aware this was at a Sur La Table until we asked for specific directions to the venue the day before. Additionally, we weren't told we would be paired with strangers (which we didn't mind from a social perspective but was odd that we shared food with others. Thankfully we were paired with people who seemed like they weren't sick and were clean but that might not be the case). Additionally, the Dim Sum recipes weren't that good. We love dim sum normally, but these were either bland or very salty. We also brought wine (as it said it was BYOB), but you can only drink it during the final few minutes while eating (so I wouldn't recommend bringing any since you can't drink while prepping). You should also note that you will be standing the whole time, including while eating.

The resident chef was great. The class however was overbooked. 4 people to a table was at least one maybe two too many. We paid to learn and practice the skills and techniques and we really only got to do half of the experience due to sharing the space and duties.

Had a wonderful experience, the teacher did an amazing job with her knowledge and explanations. Answering questions down to the temperature of the oven for different pastries. The class flew by! It would have been nice to have our own table to work with but still lovely working with the other pair next to us
