Cooking Class - Classic French Pastry Workshop

What You’ll Do

With an expert pastry chef's guidance, you'll craft three decadent French desserts.

The French are known for their delicate pastries that taste indulgent and look like art. In this pastry-making workshop, you'll learn how to prepare traditional French desserts with upscale twists and high-quality ingredients.

To start, Chef Ashley will show you how to make a classic crГ©me brГ»lГ©e, but with the complimentary flavors of sweet vanilla bean and tangy orange. Then, you'll make to-die-for vanilla cream puffs topped with a tart blackberry compote. Finish with moist flourless chocolate cake with strawberry compote and a light, creamy mint Chantilly cream.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Since graduating from Stratford University, Chef Ashley has been strengthening and sharing her skills in the pastry arts. The certified pastry chef loves baking sweet and savory dishes from decadent pastries to fresh bread. With experience as a volunteer instructor, culinary event assistant and cooking competition participant, Chef Ashley is excited to share her knowledge with those wanting to expand their baking skills.
