Chef Kamilah began her culinary journey cooking with her mother, who is of Jamaican descent. This heritage infuses Kamilah’s cooking with love, and she believes that when you cook with love, it can be tasted. After cooking on the side for many years, she decided to earn a professional culinary degree to hone her skills. WHAT YOU’LL DO
Enjoy fare from land and sea in this surf and turf-themed cooking class.
In this interactive cooking class with Chef Kamilah, you'll learn to make three dishes (and a special mocktail) with ingredients hailing from both land and sea.
Begin class by making petite fish cakes, learning how to cook the fish and then forming delicate patties, which will then be paired with a special dipping sauce. Then, it's time for the main dish: steak strips and tender shrimp to serve with a side of creamy, cheesy grits. For dessert, prepare and then dive into a delicious bread pudding.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
