Cooking Class - Authentic Middle Eastern Mezze

What You’ll Do

Prepare a selection of classic appetizers that celebrate an array of flavors and ingredients.

The culinary traditions of the Middle East take center table in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Mordechai as you learn how to prepare a variety of authentic mezze recipes that are both kosher and vegan.

Some of the traditional dishes you can look forward to making include schug — a spicy herb garlic sauce, ful with Egyptian beans and chickpeas, and two different eggplant dishes: a smoky charred baba ganoush with herbs and olive oil and a mock liver with onions. You'll also prepare toasted pitas to enjoy with your mezze feast.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Mordechai cam to my parents house to celebrate my father's birthday. My mother and father had an amazing time, and prepared some really good food. They appreciated his creativity and originality with his dishes.
