Chef Ahki will show you how to create your own tapas bar in this fun in-person cooking class. You'll learn smart culinary tips and techniques to make these little bites that have become popular all over the world.
Start with Caribbean grilled fish tacos with red fish and crispy fried corn tortillas, then learn how to make little lamb chop lollipops bursting with flavor. Next, blackened pineapple shrimp skewers are the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and finish up with bananas Foster with rum sauce and ice cream.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Ahki has a deliciously innovative style that is truly original. The way he combines flavor profiles is something you must experience first hand. Not only does he know what he’s doing in the kitchen, he also knows how to deliver it to the table. I had such a great time learning from him! You can tell he loves to feed people, and it shows in the food he makes. What a treat!
Meet your chef
After earning a bachelor's degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Chef Ahki changed tracks and decided to forgo medical school to pursue a professional career as a chef. Although a self-taught culinarian, Chef Ahki graduated from line cook to sous chef in less than two years. Today, Chef Ahki is the sous chef at a four-star hotel in New Orleans, and plays host to a variety of interactive culinary experiences.
