Cooking Class - The Art of Chinese Noodles

What You’ll Do

Noodles, which date back thousands of years, are one of the oldest and most traditional foods still served in the modern world. In this cooking class with Chef Li, you will learn all about the history of Chinese hand-pulled noodles and get to create them yourself from scratch.

Learn the steps of kneading, folding and stretching the dough to create your fresh noodles, which you will serve with a spiced chicken and tomato sauce. Chef Li will also teach you how to make a salad with mushrooms and rice vinegar, and an almond and tofu dessert.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

If I could recommend a chef over and over again, it would be Chef Li! Chef Li invested not only her talent and skills into each dish but also her heart. She is such a people person and I felt incredibly comfortable learning from her, asking questions and laughing with her. I really enjoyed my time with Chef Li, and I will definitely be back to tackle more dishes under her guidance!

We had an incredible time working with Chef Li in her soup dumpling class. Her home is beautiful and welcoming. We learned so many new techniques and ingredient combinations. Chef Li was patient and warm, allowing us to feel comfortable as we learned new things. We highly recommend class with her!

Great class, great experience. I learned about new ingredients and how to shape the dumplings. Plus there were so many dumplings, it was an all you could eat buffet. I enjoyed meeting the other guests and seeing a little into Chief Li’s home and life too. I recommend and am planning on taking another class. This was a great, fun date night and something different.
