What You’ll Do

Get ready to learn how to prepare the ultimate steak dinner with culinary extraordinaire Chef Josh.

In this hands-on class with Chef Josh, you will learn how to prepare a decadent three-course dinner menu featuring steak from Austin's premiere butcher shop that only sells A3 quality steak and above, and sources from sustainable Texas ranches.

Chef Josh will begin by teaching you how to prepare a swoon-worthy steak tartare with toasted French baguette slices and fresh duck egg yolk. For the main course, you will learn how to concoct a sake miso marinade for your thick-cut, 16-ounce steak cooked exactly how you like it вЂ” without a timer.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I took my wife to JoshвЂ™s class for MotherвЂ™s Day. The steak was some of the best that IвЂ™ve ever had. All of the food was delicious. We learned a ton of tricks and tips on how to prepare the food. However, the real benefit of the class was getting to know Josh. He was a very nice and charismatic person. He made it a very enjoyable and fun experience. IвЂ™d highly recommend him to anyone.

Great learning and cooking experience!! We loved the steak taretar and the steak itself! The whole process on removing the yolk from the egg, and the details like saffron salt made all the difference. This class was a blast and the food was even better!

Freaking awesome! My wife and I loved the class. It was a great time out and Josh was super knowledgeable and told great stories! He took all the scary stuff out of making sushi at home and we left feeling comfortable and prepared to try it in our own kitchen.

Great experience! Josh was super organized - everything was ready to go when we arrived. He spent time teaching us about so many aspects of making sushi - from how to properly hold the knife and cut the fish, to purchasing the correct fish and what to look for when shopping. He was patient and spent the necessary time to ensure we were successful making the rolls. I would highly recommend this experience -it is a must!

Chef Josh was amazing! He made my boyfriend and I feel like we were old friends cooking together. The class was not intimidating and all the dishes that we made I could cook on my own. I would highly recommend cooking with Chef Josh, you will cook some good food and enjoy even better company.
