Cooking Class - Artful Sushi Techniques

What You’ll Do

Learn the history and techniques behind three different styles of sushi in this interactive class.

Despite its worldwide popularity, many home chefs are hesitant to approach sushi making. However, in this hands-on class with Chef Jacob, you'll learn that this iconic Japanese cuisine is as approachable as it is delicious.

In addition to preparing rice and vinegar, you can look forward to exploring the ins and outs of three types of sushi: inari age, vegetable makizushi, and yellowfin tuna maki. You'll also learn how to put together kinpira gobo, a popular Japanese side dish featuring braised burdock root and carrot.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Jacob made us feel relaxed and we had fun learning to make Sushi. We also learned about the history & some knife techniques to help make the prefect side dish and sushi rolls. He sent us home with his recipes. We’re exited to impress our friends and family with our new Sushi skills.

Jacob is very knowledgable about the history of sushi! He also did a great job accommodating for dietary restrictions.
