Cooking Class - Sweet and Savory Pies and Pastries

What You’ll Do

Learn how to confidently make from-scratch pastry dough, and apply it to both sweet and savory dishes.

If you are one of many people who find making pie and pastry dough intimidating, never fear because Chef Camellia has created this class with you in mind.

Begin with a peppery arugula and Parmesan salad, followed by a delightful mini tomato pie with a cheese crust. You will also construct a savory shepherd's pie with roasted vegetables and gravy, topped with mashed potatoes and broiled to perfection. For dessert, the class will make seasonal fruit pies with butter pastry and crumb topping served with sweet Chantilly cream.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Camellia's food is familiar and comforting, yet elevated. She is great at teaching as well as being a great hostess and a great cook! I loved her food and her personality was warm and welcoming. I would definitely love to do another class with her!

I took one of Camellia's pie classes when in the Atlanta area and it was fabulous! We learned how to make an all butter crust as well as the filling and a savory pie. Now I feel confident to make my own pies with the tips and tricks she showed me!
