What You’ll Do

As a country devoted to living the good life, the culinary traditions of Spain are certainly swoon-worthy.

In this hands-on class with Chef Ashok, you will learn all about Spain's unique and delicious culinary traditions as you work your way through the preparation of four traditional Spanish dishes.

Chef Ashok will begin by teaching you the secrets to transforming a tomato, a single cove of garlic, a drizzle of fruity Spanish olive oil, and some crusty bread into an unbelievable tapas dish. You will also learn how to prepare chicken in Spanish orange sauce, a traditional seafood paella redolent of saffron, and a classic Spanish custard for dessert.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Ashok enjoys employing his creativity designing custom themed modern fusion dinners and hosting cooking classes.

Chef Ashok is a breath of fresh air in the stagnant world of east Indian cuisine in St Louis. His fusion dishes combine the scrumptious color and fragrances of the far East with the culinary magic of European bistros and the robust flavors of deep Americana. His dishes are playfully imagined and imaginatively played to surprise even the most astute palates. I always look forward to the unveiling of his new nuggets of tasty goodness. He is consummate in his pursuit of creating new experiences for his guests. The only way it's better is to see his wonderful smile light up every time he explains the construction of his masterpieces big or small. That shows his commitment to serve his food like a work of art which I think will revolutionize the world of fusion food once he achieves a stage worthy of his immense talent.
