Shoreline is a lovely city just outside of Seattle, and is made up of 14 distinct neighborhoods. Each neighborhood has its own council. These councils collaborate to ensure that city programs benefit all areas of Shoreline. One neighborhood, The Highlands, boasts the William E. Boeing House. Architect Charles Bebb designed it for the founder of airplane giant Boeing. It is recognized as a National Historic Place. Shoreline is also home to the Kruckeberg Botanic Garden.
