Learn how to fold Chinese dumplings nine ways with Chef Li.

During this live online cooking class with Chef Li, perfect for celebrating Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, you will learn how to make Chinese dumplings from scratch. Chef Li will guide you through the process, starting with the simple dumpling dough and moving on to mastering different types of dumpling folds.

After perfecting your dumpling technique, Chef Li will demonstrate both water-boiling and pan-frying methods. On the side, you'll also prepare a crunchy Chinese cabbage salad to complement your meal.

Chinkiang vinegar (available in all Asian markets and Amazon)
Chinese white rice vinegar (or Japanese marukan vinegar)
Vegetables of your choice: Zucchini, napa cabbage, button mushrooms, etc.

Bell peppers
Fresh shiitake mushrooms or dried wood-ear mushrooms
Sichuan peppercorn
Chili oil or fresh red chili, optional

1. Pre measure flour, water and pork. 2. Shred or mince vegetables of your choice for the dumpling filling. 3. Break the cabbage into small pieces.

The Chef was wonderful. The only suggestion I would make is to have a camera set up so you can actually see the cooking in the pots and pans. We couldn't see the cooking just the prep. Besides that it was an enjoyable class.

Wonderful class! really enjoyed learning all of the extra pieces of information she provided in addition to learning the specific steps to making the dumplings. The dumplings were delicious and we had a great time learning together as a family! Thank you!

Chef Li took a meal that seemed very intimidating and made it easy and fun! We loved this class - Chef Li has a great personality and is a wonderful instructor. Would highly recommend for a date night!
