What You’ll Do

Learn the essentials of sushi rolling in this live and interactive culinary experience!

During this live and interactive online cooking class with Chef Logan, you will learn everything you need to know to make sushi rolls at home. Chef Logan will begin by teaching you how to properly prepare sushi rice and achieve a delectable texture and stickiness and transform it to salmon nigiri. You'll also sharpen your knife skills before rolling your spicy salmon temaki and California roll.

Prep Work Details

For non-sashimi grade salmon, freeze salmon either 48 hours prior to class in a deep freeze or 5-7 days in a regular freezer. Thaw morning of class day. Presoak sushi rice. Prepare your dynamite sauce and sushi vinegar prior to class as well. Follow sushi rice recipe provided verbatim 30 minutes before class, do not place into fridge or it will be too hard to work with. If you bought regular sesame seeds they will need to be to be toasted prior to class. Place a medium skillet on medium heat, let it heat up for 2 minutes, add 1/4 cup sesame seeds and toss until golden and fragrant. Remove from the pan and allow to cool.

We had a great experience! We did the sushi zoom class for Father’s day and it was awesome to learn the process in making sushi. Chef Logan’s instructions were easy to follow and he walked through the steps of making the rice, which was great!
