What You’ll Do

Explore the lavish and delicious wonders of New Orleans' Garden District.

Home to historic mansions, hauntingly beautiful cemeteries and giant oak trees, this district is the romance of New Orleans. You will tour one of the oldest cemeteries in New Orleans and see the above-ground tombs New Orleans is known for and learn about its unique traditions!

(PLEASE NOTE: The cemetery is currently closed for repairs. During this time, you'll still be able to look into the cemetery and discuss the history. The guide will supplement the walking tour to see some of the mansions and historic homes the Garden District is known for.)

Enjoy a favorite neighborhood eatery for a taste of our Italian and Creole roots. The next stop is one of the guide's favorite neighborhood bar for a po-boy and local beer or frozen drinks. You will finish with a Creole dessert and learn the history of chicory over cafГ© au lait and filled beignets. You'll have history fun while learning about our lingo, traditions and architecture.

All curated food, cocktails, beer, taxes and tip are included in your ticket so you can sit back and relax! Will accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions if told in advance. Menu and food stops are subject to availability.

Tour is all weather, wear comfy walking shoes and bring a face mask.
All stops are family-friendly. The tour is recommended for ages 11 and up.
To attend the tour, first check the local mandates for current COVID-19 requirements concerning restaurants, bars and shops in New Orleans.

Wow, this was such a great tour. Michelle is so knowledgeable and made this a special day. It is a much better reflection of the real New Orleans than the touristy French Quarter.
