Take a trip to Kentucky with Chef April classic Southern cuisine with a twist.

As a native Kentuckian, Chef April has a spot reserved in her heart for the truly one-of-a-kind cuisine of this corner of the South. In this hands-on class, you will learn the reasons this cuisine is so special and enjoy some classic Kentuckian dishes.

Chef April has created a three-course menu filled with Southern classics, but prepared with some key adjustments to make them both healthier and more accessible to prepare at home. And if you've never had fried chicken atop a waffle, then you're in for an extraordinary treat!

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

After beginning her culinary career as a dishwasher, Chef April has climbed the ladder and worked all the way to her current position as the founder and head teacher of a skills development cooking school. Chef April also has extensive knowledge and experience working in the world of pastry and baking, having worked in an organic bakery in France as well as running the kitchen at a one-of-a-kind cupcake shop in Kenya.

Making dinner with Chef April was great! She explained everything well and answered all of our questions. Definitely learned a few things, plus the food turned out amazing!
