Embark on a culinary journey to India with a healthier take on some traditional recipes.
In this hands-on class, you will work under the instruction of Chef Mel to create three authentic vegetarian Indian dishes with a healthy twist.
Chef Mel shows you how to mimic the rich consistency of these Indian classics, while cutting out unnecessary calories by substituting coconut milk for the traditionally used heavy cream. You will also make your own masala sauce from scratch, and have fun putting together your own samosas with a cashew-coconut filling and a mint chutney that you'll be using on a daily basis at home!
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

We had a great time learning from Mel! She is a friendly and clear teacher, the food was delicious, and we learned techniques and recipes we can use at home. Highly recommend the experience!

Mel was a great teacher! Her recipes were accessible, she emphasized good knife technique and we geeked out about all things food the whole class. I’d highly recommend her for any class she teaches.

Chef Mel was excellent, however it was my first time using mangos, so I lost some time during the class. In future, I will ask for more info when using ingredients that I am not familiar with. The fish tacos, salsa and avocado cilantro sauce were delicious

The dishes were delicious and it was fun learning the cooking techniques Chef Mel used. One critique would be that she went very fast and it was hard to keep up. Overall a wonderful experience! I will definitely be using these recipes again.

Chef Mel was great! Not only did she walk us through a recipe, but I learned things I never knew before. Like how to cut a mango, how to cut an onion, and what ingredients to leave out if I am marinating over night. I really appreciated her knowledge in the kitchen!

Fun time cooking with Chef Mel! Fish tacos. mango salsa , avocado cream with lime cilantro rice was devious! Learned some new food prep-skills and enjoyed the zoom with college friends I would defiantly recommend this virtual cooking class

So fun! My friend and I did this for our birthdays. Chef Mel does a great job explaining techniques and asking if everyone is in track. Good pace and these recipes were delicious! Will do this again and make the recipes again.

I had such an amazing time with Chef Mel! I had never been to a private cooking class before, but I felt so at home in Chef Mel's house. I love learning new recipes, and the rice paper samosas were so much fun to make! The small samosas were packed with flavor. Mel explained the whole process so I will be able to make them again at home. I definitely will be taking another Cozymeal class with her!

I needed to cater a corporate lunch for some health conscious, hard driving colleagues. Through word of mouth recommendation, I decided to use Mel. The lunch was a huge success. The presentation was beautiful, everyone raved about the food, the luncheon went off without a hitch and Mel was a joy to work with.

Meals are wonderful and full of nutrition. Mel is flexible with menus and really knows how to balance flavors. She did an event for 15 people, dinner and lunch, and everything was outstanding! Everyone raved about her!

I have an autoimmune disease, and I eat a clean, vegetarian and gluten-free diet. However, I was having trouble getting all the good meals I need during busy work weeks. I found Mel on thumbtack, and I have really loved her delicious and healthy meals that I can quickly heat up during the week! She is very responsive to my needs/requests and brings a variety of types of food from Thai, Indian, Greek and Italian (to name a few!). I don't get bored from eating the same thing and it is all so well seasoned and so tasty! So glad to have found Mel to help me with great meals to improve my health. I'm on my second month and no complaints!
