In this hands-on class, Chef Mukti ditches the cream and heavy oils used by many Indian restaurants and teaches you how to cook healthier and lighter with better, bolder flavors.

Chef Mukti will begin by giving you descriptions of the spices and secrets to knowing how each spice will transform each dish. You will then dive into preparing the authentic, vibrant dishes of this fascinating cuisine.

I attended Chef Mukti's class with my partner, Andrew, and cooking with her was an incredible experience! It was our first cooking class ever, and Mukti taught us how to make *five* amazing vegan Indian dishes from scratch. Mukti not only walked us through each cooking step, but she also taught us some really helpful tips and tricks about cooking in general, including how to handle cookware properly and how to incorporate different kinds of spices — and the benefits of them as well. To top it all off, the food itself is to-die-for. Mukti's cooking class is definitely worth it and we both highly recommend it to anyone.

Highly recommend! I scheduled a gluten free and vegan Indian cooking class with Chef Mukti for my girlfriend's birthday. My girlfriend is gluten free and dairy free. Chef Mukti had to reschedule our class for a different day with a different menu that wasn't necessarily gluten or dairy free. Chef Mukti made sure to have options for my girlfriend so that she didn't miss out on anything. The food was unbelievably delicious. Mukti was extremely informative during the entire cooking process. We were with a family of seven that we didn't know. Mukti made the atmosphere comfortable and we had a blast. She also made sure everyone was involved constantly. It was so much fun and the food was so good. We don't live in NYC but if we did I'm sure we'd do another cooking class with the chef. I never leave reviews for anything online but I felt like I needed to for this. Great experience, and after the dinner Mukti sends you an incredibly detailed recipe of everything so you can cook it again.

Chef Mukti ran a wonderful and engaging class which was really effective in giving familiarity with ingredients and fundamental techniques. You will definitely learn by doing and it is hard to imagine a better cooking class experience.
