What You’ll Do

Learn how to make a handful of traditional Italian dishes from scratch.

In this hands-on cooking class, Chef Kathy provides you with a gorgeous four-course menu featuring favorites from the Italian coast. Learn culinary techniques from a true Italian chef as you work with fresh seafood and make homemade pasta.

First, Chef Kathy will show you how to expertly char octopus and pickle potatoes, then thinly slice fresh zucchini for a different take on carpaccio. For the main course, you'll prepare black tagliolini pasta with squid ink and pair it with a variety of seafood, then authentic lemon almond cake awaits you for the sweet dessert course.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Twelve years into her culinary career, Chef Kathy made a drastic shift and left the professional kitchen for nearly 20 years. After a fruitful career, she returned to her passion: the kitchen classroom, where she embraced how food nourishes our bodies, souls, and spirits. Upon completing the Master of Italian Cuisine at the ICI in Italy, she began teaching Italian cuisine to budding chefs in inspiring and engaging classes.

Chef Kathy is the best in the business! Her experience as well as her calm teaching manner were great for my parents! Would absolutely recommend her to anybody in St Pete looking for an engaging and entertaining cooking experience.
