Chef Tomica teaches foundational skills and flavors needed for exquisite Caribbean cooking. With years of professional culinary know-how, she teaches guests how to easily recreate the flavors of the Caribbean in their home kitchens.
In this class, you will learn how to make four courses of gourmet Caribbean cuisine, starting with an appetizer of codfish fritters. Chef Tomica teaches guests how to make a main course of curry chicken and coconut jasmine rice with peas. For dessert, master the beignet, filled with bananas and served with a rich rum sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed Chef Tomica’s class. She focused on flavor and traditional Caribbean techniques like marinating chicken and cooking rice to perfection! It was delicious, brunch-style comfort food.
