What You’ll Do

Create a decadent Disney-inspired menu with Chef Karen

Turn cartoon dreams into a culinary reality by creating the gorgeous foods from the classic film “Ratatouille.” Chef Karen will guide you through a five course French menu inspired by Remy.

Start with a creamy mushroom gratin served on toasted crostini, followed by a luscious ratatouille filled with fresh, seasonal produce. Make Remy’s famous soup, brimming with fresh herbs and vegetables, then cook a classic Poulet aux Olives, chicken braised with olives and mustard. The meal ends with a dazzling pairing of roasted rhubarb with crème fraîche ice cream.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I have been a personal chef, caterer, and culinary instructor in the greater Seattle area for 19 years. In 1995, I started teaching classes to anyone who wants to learn and I love to teach. There are few things I like seeing more than the look in someones eyes when they "get it". I enjoy helping people learn the skills to take care of themselves, and loved ones, in the most simple and profound way with food. Food is an international language which everyone speaks.

I had always wanted to book a cooking class with my girlfriend and cozymeal exceeded expectations. It was an all around fantastic experience. From learning about different minerals in food and how important the right ingredients are to cooking a delicious food. Our class was with Chef Karen, who is a very colorful person and made the whole experience of preparing the food lots of fun. We will definitely try it again and book another cooking class.
