WHAT YOU’LL DO

Craft sweet French macarons with guidance from a five-star chef in this fun cooking class.

Join this fun baking-focused cooking class to discover the timeless art of French macaron-making, a skill that dates back to the 17th century. In this three-hour session, you will work with a five-star pastry chef to master the techniques of whipping meringue and crafting delicate cocoa-flavored shells from scratch. With expert guidance, you will then create delicate macarons with rich fillings. When class is complete, take home your sweet creations.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

This class was a gift to my wife as we just celebrated out 35th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the class. The steps were easy to follow, and the food was delicious. We now can bring some fun Ramen making back to our family of 4 kids, who absolutely love Ramen. The downside was the size of the class. It was a bit crowded at the tables, and it felt like instructing that many people got a bit chaotic. Other than that, my wife and I had a fun time.

Everyone was friendly (class mates and lead chief) itâ€™s the reason for 2 stars instead of 1. The class was large though and we all had to share everything. For example, there were 16 of us and only 8 cutting boards, 3 working burners and only 8 steaks. The whole meal was split into 2 groups so technically it was a communal meal prep and we all shared the food at the end. All of the ingredients were separated into two groups and we all had to share in preparing everything. The chief read the instructions/recipes aloud, and we all occasionally got to prepare some of the food since again, there were 8 of us (in my group) to prepare the 1 meal. When I signed up to pay $100 for this cooking class, I donâ€™t recall reading anything that said I would be working with others to prepare the dishes. In fact, I signed up for this specific class because it mentioned I could attend it solo instead of others stating it was for couples or pairs. So having to eat after other people wasnâ€™t what I was expecting and definitely not what I wanted to do. I left the event grateful for having been placed into a group of lovely ladies, but again I was initially under the impression I would have my own cooking station to prepare my own meal from start to finish and that I would learn something new about either cooking or tips on kitchen etiquette and I left with nothing new and still hungry. Based on this experience I canâ€™t recommend this experience.
