Cooking Class - Mastering 5 Sauces: from Bisque to Bechamel with Chef John

What You'll Do

Learn the secrets of making great sauces ranging from bisque to bechamel.

The secret to great cuisine is in the sauce. And Chef John has been obsessed with fresh food since he would skip school to make grilled cheese and tomato soup at home.

He’ll show you how to whip up great sauces to make tasty everyday dishes. You’ll start with creating Hollandaise to pour over oven-roasted asparagus, then you’ll move on to béchamel used to make mac and cheese, continue with a veloute and pair it with herb roasted chicken and finish with a tomato sauce so you can make a tomato basil bisque. Here’s to not-so secret sauce!
