WHAT YOU’LL DO

Over five day, teens will master advanced cooking techniques and reveal the culinary connoisseur within.

Your budding chef will appreciate a five day culinary experience taking place in this cooking class series. They'll dive into advanced cooking techniques, whipping up delectable dishes like mini gourmet chefs. A world-class chef will oversee these summer cooking classes and each day promises a flavorful adventure, culminating in a showcase of delicious starters, mains and desserts. Plus, they'll bring home not just newfound skills, but also a personalized menu and a certificate that they can show off to friends.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes.Â Parents do not stay during the classes.

This class was a gift to my wife as we just celebrated out 35th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the class. The steps were easy to follow, and the food was delicious. We now can bring some fun Ramen making back to our family of 4 kids, who absolutely love Ramen. The downside was the size of the class. It was a bit crowded at the tables, and it felt like instructing that many people got a bit chaotic. Other than that, my wife and I had a fun time.

Everyone was friendly (class mates and lead chief) itâ€™s the reason for 2 stars instead of 1. The class was large though and we all had to share everything. For example, there were 16 of us and only 8 cutting boards, 3 working burners and only 8 steaks. The whole meal was split into 2 groups so technically it was a communal meal prep and we all shared the food at the end. All of the ingredients were separated into two groups and we all had to share in preparing everything. The chief read the instructions/recipes aloud, and we all occasionally got to prepare some of the food since again, there were 8 of us (in my group) to prepare the 1 meal. When I signed up to pay $100 for this cooking class, I donâ€™t recall reading anything that said I would be working with others to prepare the dishes. In fact, I signed up for this specific class because it mentioned I could attend it solo instead of others stating it was for couples or pairs. So having to eat after other people wasnâ€™t what I was expecting and definitely not what I wanted to do. I left the event grateful for having been placed into a group of lovely ladies, but again I was initially under the impression I would have my own cooking station to prepare my own meal from start to finish and that I would learn something new about either cooking or tips on kitchen etiquette and I left with nothing new and still hungry. Based on this experience I canâ€™t recommend this experience.
