Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Teens: Baking Challenge

What You’ll Do

Teens will master the art of baking through advanced techniques.

Kid bakers and future pastry chefs will enjoy this hands-on cooking series. Designed for kids ages 12 and older, these summer cooking classes are taught by an expert chef instructor and aim to help budding chefs gain more confidence in the kitchen. They will explore challenging recipes and advanced baking techniques to craft delicious treats. They'll use fresh ingredients to make dough from scratch and techniques to knead it. Plus, they'll learn food prep and kitchen safety skills and take home recipes to recreate their favorites for friends and family.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes.В Parents do not stay during the classes.

I enjoyed the class. The desserts were tasty. I had thought we were making all three recipes, but the chef ended up making one of them which was time-consuming. It might have been nicer to include one that wasn't as time-consuming so we could have three hands-on bakes. I have not received the recipes as yet, but since they were affected by the global IT outage, I'm not worried about that yet.
