Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Baking 101 - Carmel

What You’ll Do

Harness your kid's endless energy with this hands-on, creative skills workshop all about baked goods.

Enroll your kids in these summer cooking classes for an incredible educational experience. Tiny chefs can make a mess in the kitchen as they glean new skills from everyday kitchen safety to the basics of baking up treats both sweet and savory. From kneading and shaping dough into a giant salty pretzel or a fluffy scone, a chef instructor will demonstrate how to perform a variety of techniques. On the last day, kids will participate in a challenge to recreate a recipe from the week using just a photo for reference.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes.В Parents do not stay during the classes.

Would have preferred getting a printed set of instructions for croissant recipes morning of class. Have not received the email with recipes yet. Suggest making class long enough to allow for proper rising times so we know what finished product should look and taste like. Otherwise a nice experience.
