Teens 5 Day Summer Series Adventurous Recipes

Five days of intrepid learning to get your teen chefs in on the kitchen action.

Growing gourmets ages 12 and up have a delicious journey ahead of them with this 5-day cooking series. Sign them up for a fun collection of summer cooking classes where challenging culinary projects will help them sharpen their sense of kitchen preparedness. Students will prepare delicious dishes while gaining new confidence and exploring exciting recipes they can recreate at home. After spending the week gathering essential skills and learning important safety tips, they'll receive a printed menu and a graduation certificate to remember the experience.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes.В Parents do not stay during the classes.

This class was misrepresented as steak and gnocchi when, in reality, they hid the fact that it was risotto and Chicken thigh. On top of that, we had to share a cooking station with another couple and were given a single piece of chicken each to eat. For the price, I would never recommend doing this class. Maybe if they paid you, it would be worth it, but I would tell anyone considering doing this to do it at home with the help of a YouTube video. It will be more romantic, and you'll actually cook what you plan, not some random meal that was hidden in the website.

My husband and I had an enjoyable time. The food turned out excellent. Chef Joy and the others in the class were delightful to be around. There was a lot of standing. I wish we had been able to at least sit down to eat the delicious food. Overall great experience.

I loved the class. The ladies I was paired up with were a little chatty so was hard to listen to chef! Before class I was very intimidated but after class I was I got this! Excited to try making fresh pasta my self! Great class over all would definitely take again!

Absolutely loved the class. I'm an experienced baker and have wanted to make macarons. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable. I enjoyed the class so much, I'm considering taking the class again as it was so much fun!!!
