WHAT YOU’LL DO

Gain confidence with expert knife techniques in this hands-on cooking class.

Sharpen your knife skills in this engaging cooking class. Discover the basics behind one of the most fundamental tools in the kitchen. A professional chef will guide you through classic techniques suited to every culinary skill level. From how to hold the knife properly to practicing a julienne method, learn the best tips and tricks to elevate your home cooking. Enjoy a light snack and exercise your new skills while cutting fresh fruits or vegetables to gain more confidence in the kitchen.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

This class was a gift to my wife as we just celebrated out 35th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the class. The steps were easy to follow, and the food was delicious. We now can bring some fun Ramen making back to our family of 4 kids, who absolutely love Ramen. The downside was the size of the class. It was a bit crowded at the tables, and it felt like instructing that many people got a bit chaotic. Other than that, my wife and I had a fun time.

Everyone was friendly (class mates and lead chief) itâ€™s the reason for 2 stars instead of 1. The class was large though and we all had to share everything. For example, there were 16 of us and only 8 cutting boards, 3 working burners and only 8 steaks. The whole meal was split into 2 groups so technically it was a communal meal prep and we all shared the food at the end. All of the ingredients were separated into two groups and we all had to share in preparing everything. The chief read the instructions/recipes aloud, and we all occasionally got to prepare some of the food since again, there were 8 of us (in my group) to prepare the 1 meal. When I signed up to pay $100 for this cooking class, I donâ€™t recall reading anything that said I would be working with others to prepare the dishes. In fact, I signed up for this specific class because it mentioned I could attend it solo instead of others stating it was for couples or pairs. So having to eat after other people wasnâ€™t what I was expecting and definitely not what I wanted to do. I left the event grateful for having been placed into a group of lovely ladies, but again I was initially under the impression I would have my own cooking station to prepare my own meal from start to finish and that I would learn something new about either cooking or tips on kitchen etiquette and I left with nothing new and still hungry. Based on this experience I canâ€™t recommend this experience.
