Discover how to prepare a classic Japanese curry from scratch with Chef Shinya.

In this interactive cooking class with Chef Shinya, you will learn how to create a Japanese chicken curry from scratch. Often overlooked as a Japanese staple, curry can be a delicious addition to your culinary repertoire.

First, mix together a fresh salad topped with a homemade creamy yogurt dressing, then wrap green vegetables in thinly sliced pork, cooked and served with soy sauce. Next, prepare the chicken curry with onions, carrots, garlic, ginger and turmeric rice. For dessert, layer a ice cream with sweet red bean paste.

We had a lovely evening cooking with Chef Shinya! Not only did we learn (and eat) some delicious recipes, he also taught us a lot of useful skills and history about cooking in general. He has a warm, kind personality and the hours just flew by because we enjoyed ourselves so much. Would cook with him again, for sure.

Thank you for the delicious meal! Very detail oriented. We learned a lot about Japanese and Korean cuisine. The experience was great for a date, because I got to interact with my partner towards a common goal.

My husband and I attended the sushi making class. It was extremely informative and we learned SO MUCH. Chef was very patient and extremely knowledgeable about the history of sushi making and the whole process of sushi-making. We were there for almost 4 hours and standing the whole time. So eat beforehand bc you won’t be eating until around 8:30-9ish. Highly recommend this experience!
