Cooking Class - Plant-Based Sushi Making

What You’ll Do

Harness the flavor of vegetables for fresh vegan and vegetarian sushi rolls made from scratch.

In this hands-on sushi-making class, Chef Mary will teach you how to create gourmet plant-based renditions of your favorite sushi rolls and Japanese dishes using classic techniques.

A salad showcasing spicy tofu with smoked carrots and a sesame ginger soy dressing begins the class. Then, it's time to roll sushi! You'll craft a vegetable roll paired with mango salsa, a marinated spicy tofu roll, and a Philadelphia roll with vegan cream cheese and vegetables. For dessert, handcraft fruit dessert sushi with caramel and cinnamon.

Guests are welcome to purchase wine and beer from the venue.

Our sushi making experience was nothing short of spectacular. We learned about history of sushi, various types/styles, and a lot of the culture behind it. Mary was eager and excited to be our guide! The food was fantastic and she left us very equipped to continue making sushi on our own in the future. We will be recommending her course to many friends!
