Cooking Class - Homemade Tortillas and Mexican Fare

What You’ll Do

Join Chef Jennifer as you explore the world-renowned flavors of the Jalisco region in Mexico.

In this cooking class, you'll learn how to make iconic dishes from the famed culinary region of Jalisco, Mexico. Chef Jennifer will guide you as you learn new kitchen skills — including how to make homemade tortillas — and use authentic ingredients.

Begin by handcrafting corn tortillas with masa harina before filling them with chicken to make crispy flautas topped with tomatillo avocado salsa. Then, perfectly season and cook beef skirt steak to make carne asada tacos using your handmade tortillas. For dessert, whip up Mexican chocolate mousse with rich notes of coffee.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Jennifer is wonderful! She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about cooking. She is a great teacher and kept us engaged the entire time while we learned new techniques. It was so much fun and I highly recommend all of her classes!
