Harness the elegance of French cooking in this immersive cooking course.

After this interactive cooking class with Chefs Mike and Marcus, you'll easily be able to serve up fancy, intricate French cuisine in a cinch. The chefs will provide their expertise on French favorites, some of which are simple with others being more complex.

Begin by learning to make a staple: savory, cheesy French onion soup. Next, discover how to create traditional sole meunière—the dish that made Julia Child herself fall in love with French cuisine—and then pair it with vegetables and a potato galette. After a refreshing seasonal salad, craft a creamy crème brûlée for dessert.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Mike began his culinary career at the world renowned Culinary Institute of America in New York. After graduating at the top of his class he worked at some of Michigan's best restaurants and later earned the position of sous chef at James Beard-nominated restaurant Forest. Chef Marcus began his culinary career in Detroit, and later, had the privilege of working in Chicago at Michelin-starred restaurants. Most recently, he helped manage the kitchen at a revered fine-dining restaurant in Detroit before joining Mike at his company, Abode Fine Dining. The love of fine food that they share drove them to apply their culinary talents as private chefs.
