Cooking Class - Mastering Risotto

What You’ll Do

Get ready to master one of the creamiest, richest, most texturally-pleasing dishes you can serve.

In this hands-on class with Chef Blu, you will learn how to master the art of restaurant-quality risotto at home using fresh, high-quality ingredients and time-honored Italian cooking techniques.

Chef Blu will begin by teaching the methodology behind risotto. Once you understand proper procedure, you will learn how to build layers of flavor in two different risottos: A jazzy Cajun shrimp risotto and crowd-pleasing mushroom and cheese risotto. Lastly, you'll end on a sweet note by learning how to churn up a batch of homemade ice cream for dessert.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This was my first cooking class, and it was incredible! Chef Blu was open and friendly, well prepared, very knowledgeable, and made the class really fun! We had a great time while cooking the three course Cajun meal, and her shrimp and grits recipe was the BEST I’ve ever had!
