Cooking Class - Sushi Basics Workshop

What You’ll Do

Get ready to learn the basics of making four different types of sushi at home.

In this hands-on class with Chef Raina, you will learn the basics of making sushi at home, including how to prepare sushi rice, knife skills, rolling and plating techniques, where to buy sushi-grade fish, and more!

Chef Raina will begin by teaching you how to handcraft a classic spicy tuna roll and how to prepare a light, crisp coating for your shrimp tempura rolls. Then, you will learn how to build both tuna and salmon sashimi platters before ending with Japanese rice balls.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Raina was very friendly, upbeat and very passionate about her cooking! Her Orange Salmon Power bowl was very good and colorful. The Beignets and Shrimp Po Boy were amazing and really reminded me of New Orleans. I would love to learn more from her again!
