In this hands-on class with Chef Dave, you will learn how to prepare a sophisticated four-course Provençal dinner menu built on a farm-to-table ethos, and time-honored French cooking techniques.
Some of the dishes you can look forward to adding to your culinary repertoire in this class include an aromatic cream of garlic soup with apples and pГўtГ©, a wonderfully herbaceous tomato tartare, braised chicken and mushrooms bathed in sherry and tarragon-cream sauce, and a strawberry mascarpone tart with a divine homemade port glaze for dessert.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Dave is a very talented chef. His dishes were clever, bold and thoughtful. I adored the flavors of the garlic soup and everything he paired with it. He was a great teacher as well. It’s safe to say I finished every last bite of everything we prepared. Thanks for cooking and hosting!
Meet your chef
With years of experience as a lauded culinary instructor for both schools and nonprofits, Chef Dave was duly inducted into the Chef's Hall of Fame in 2015. His passion for all things gastronomy also led him to earn a master’s certificate in food history from the University of Adelaide, own and operate a fine dining restaurant, as well as a restaurant consulting firm specializing in menu development and chef training.
