What You’ll Do

Learn both age-old techniques and modern methods to make sushi dishes completely from scratch.

In this interactive cooking class with Chef Aaron, you'll learn all the steps necessary to craft fresh sushi rolls in the comfort of your home, as well as a few other Japanese staples.

Your class begins with the most important ingredient for any type of sushi: Rice. Next, you'll put together a house salad featuring zingy ginger. Afterward, you'll prepare the sushi by thinly slicing fish and vegetables and practicing the art of the maki roll. For dessert, make matcha-infused crème brûlée — a Japanese take on the French favorite.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Aaron was amazing. This was my first time attending a cooking class and it was everything I hoped it would be and nothing I feared it might be. He was super informative, flexible, helpful, and kind. Walking through his garden and getting the opportunity to literally pick some ingredients was super cool.

Wow! What an experience. Chef Aaron was super professional, knowledgeable, and inviting! The kitchen is perfectly set up to entertain and provides a warm and relaxed environment to learn! I have zero complaints! We chose the sushi class and it's a bit more technical, but with his advice he had all of us making rolls like pros by the end of it.
