Cooking Class - Mediterranean for Beginners

What You’ll Do

Discover a Mediterranean menu designed to teach beginning chefs how to balance flavor and texture.

In this hands-on class with Chef Stuart, you will learn how to prepare a four-course Mediterranean menu using skills and techniques that translates across all types of cuisine.

You will begin by trying your hand at stuffing and rolling grape leaves packed with well-balanced flavors. Then, you will discover what happens when you combine sweet dates, smoky bacon, tangy lemons, and sharp, pungent onions and oregano. You will also learn how to properly marinate and grill chicken and shrimp before ending with a nutty and beautifully flaky baklava.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

For over 10 years, Chef Stuart has been honing his culinary prowess working as an independent personal chef. Currently, Chef Stuart can be found at a local public high school where he teaches Culinary Arts. Prior to that, Chef Stuart taught Culinary Arts at a private nonprofit special education school in New Jersey and has worked as a summer camp chef tasked with cooking for 650 people in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains.
