Enjoy a lesson in turning your fast food favorites into delicious and healthy plant-forward dishes.

Chef Carlos shares his secrets for creating plant-based versions of popular fast food fare in this interactive online cooking class. Learn how to create your comfort favorites reinvented with an eye on mindful eating. First, you'll prepare a handmade fried plantain pizza topped with vegan cheese, tomatoes and vegetables. Then, create a batch of fried mushroom "wings" with fiery spices flavoring tender, lightly fried oyster mushrooms.

Carlos was an incredible teacher! He was kind and funny and taught us so much along the way. I loved getting to learn more about cooking and specific things that I will use in future dishes and we ended up with a delicious dinner. Carlos was able to work well on the fly with food allergies and preferences and made us feel right at home.

Great teacher. Patient and educational. I loved the class. It would have been helpful to have a link on how to fry plantains since this was a new experience for me, and also that the mushrooms were going to be deep fried to make sure to have enough inexpensive oil on hand (not olive). Otherwise, I'd recommend this fun class.
