What You’ll Do

Join Italian-trained Chef Chris and discover how easy it is to make ravioli at home.

During this family and kid-friendly virtual cooking class with Chef Chris, you will learn how to prepare two different kinds of ravioli completely from scratch using fresh, high-quality ingredients and easy-to-master cooking techniques. Chef Chris will begin by teaching you how to make the pasta dough — no pasta machine required. Then, you will begin handcrafting three-cheese ravioli featuring pecorino, ricotta and Parmigiano, as well as spinach and ricotta ravioli with a subtle hint of nutmeg.

Please note that this class uses gluten-based flour. Unfortunately, it’s not a simple one-to-one substitution to swap out gluten-free flour.

After discovering his passion for cooking as an Italian language instructor at UC Berkeley, Chef Chris went on to be the co-founder of a culinary event business, specializing in regional Italian cooking, and then worked as a chef teaching cooking classes for corporate groups, cultivating a 5-star rating. Chef Chris now works with a company providing walking food tours of Little Italy as well as teaching his lauded cooking classes.

Wonderful class with Chef Chris today! My adult son and I had a great time and our ravioli was absolutely delicious! Chris was calm, patient, and a great instructor! The session wasn’t rushed at all. We enjoyed that the class wasn’t a large number so that it felt very personalized for us to receive guidance and feedback, as needed. We were able to show our progress with the pasta dough and also finished ravioli. Chris did a fantastic job of having the camera angled for our observation of his working with the food prep but also would put the camera on home I’m self to talk to the class. AWESOME! I’ll definitely participate with Chef Chris for more online classes!
