In this hands-on class, Chef Mark draws inspiration from the history books as he teaches you how to create dishes using ancient grains to add texture and variety — not to mention extra nutrition — to your meals.

Chef Mark focuses on teaching you how to prepare ancient grains as a meat substitute. You will also learn techniques and time-saving tips for cooking ancient grains as well as knife skills, proper browning techniques, homemade salad dressing, and a velvety chocolate ganache and homemade whipped cream for your dessert.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

We had a wonderful night with Ched Mark! My husband and I, recently exploring the world without meat and dairy, thoroughly enjoyed learning how to make this meat-free Bolognese sauce. Chef Mark was super accommodating with our annoying vegan restrictions and offered great information on how to incorporate flavor into our cooking. His house is beautiful and very inviting. Truly an unforgettable experience!
