Cooking Class - Authentic Taste of Nippon

What You’ll Do

Join Chef Alberto on an authentic culinary journey to the Land of the Rising Sun.

From a classic street dish in Osaka to a humble dish made in a traditional Japanese home to a dessert shop favorite across Tokyo, Chef Alberto is pulling out all the stops in this hands-on Japanese class.

Chef Alberto's three-course menu begins with okonomiyaki, which literally means "grilled as you like it," but is better known in the U.S. as "Japanese pizza." Next is a traditional comfort food dish of oyako donburi. Finally, a plate of simply exquisite Japanese-style crepes dusted with matcha and sided with green tea ice cream.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I gave this cozymeal as a Father’s Day gift to my brother. My brother absolutely loved learning from Chef Alberto, he said Chef Alberto is so knowledgeable and patient. He would recommend for anyone to learn from Chef Alberto and makes me want to purchase a cooking experience for myself!

Mu husband and I had a wonderful time learning and making Japanese style comfort food and crepes. We love traveling to Japan, and having Chef Al show us how to make okonomiyaki and oyakodon is like bringing a piece of our favorite memories back to our kitchen. Chef Al is very knowledgeable in the different styles of cuisines and their techniques from around the world. In addition to that he is also a wonderful, friendly host who makes you feel right at home the moment you get there. Not to mention his two adorable puppies that kept us company and never failed to keep us entertained. Highly recommend taking a class (or just chilling out) with Chef Al!
